Hello my magical friend! I recently have seen a lot of videos and posts in regards to bringing magic into your everyday life. One really stood out to me though and truly got me thinking. I am a pretty avid follower of Darienne , at Darienne Empire, and have loved her content from day one. I have learned so much from her and honestly probably wouldn't be where I am in my spiritual path if I hadn't found her. In her video "How To Magick Into The Mundane" she makes the statement: The very first tip that I have is what I think is the most important. Is realizing that mundane is actually magical. It's really about switching your perspective of what you consider to be mundane and what you consider to be magical. You know, If you think everyday life is mundane, everyday life isn't mundane. Everyday life has the potential to be so magical when you see the magic in it. It doesn't necessarily have to be that you always bring magic to the mundane but rather that you realize there is no such thing as mundane... When you see through the source within you, you know that there is no such thing as practical magic. None of this is practical. The source of everything is magic. So when you begin to realize that you then already begin to live a magical life. This statement really hit me and resonated very strongly with me. When you begin to look into magick and the world of witchcraft or spirituality a lot of the focus is centered on tools, herbs rituals. All very material things. It begins to feel like you aren't living a spiritual or witchy life without these things or without going into ritual everyday. What we are missing though is that you don't need any of those things to be living connected and magical lives. Magic is found in joy, the things and activities that light you up, your intentions, your mindset. Magic is within you. It is you. By being your wonderful, powerful self, you are living a magical life. With that said, I am going to be sharing with you 5 ways I have found magic in my life and that bring joy to my everyday. 1. I woke up this morning. I know, everyone always says that you should be grateful that you even woke up today but seriously. Honestly think about it for a moment. There is truth in the statement that we are not promised tomorrow. Someone, somewhere didn't get the opportunity of today. We did. I am sitting here writing this for you. I have air filling my lungs, a heart that is beating steadily in my chest. I am an alive and intellectual human being and that in itself is a miracle. 2. I meditate. This looks different everyday. Whether I sit down to a guided meditation, draw, or journal. I make time everyday (preferable first thing in the morning) and check in with myself. I listen to my body and my breath. I ground and connect with source. I might pray. In doing this, I find that I approach the day much differently. I am happier, I am nicer to others, I am more patient with others and circumstances, I don't stress as much about things that are out of my control. I find it very important to first see what I and my body needs, what my mind and soul need before encountering others and outside influences. 3. I have a glass of water. Simple, I know. I also do this everyday in the morning and before bed. Water is a necessity to our bodies and most of us don't get enough of it. By drinking water, I notice a change in not only how my body feels but also in my attitude and thought process. I don't feel so heavy and my brain feels a bit more energized and less deprived. 4. I read. A lot. I write. A lot. I and those close to me notice a huge shift in me when it comes to these two things. One friend even told me that he can tell how much I have been reading and writing based on my mental state and how I am perceiving the world. Reading and writing bring so much joy into my life. I notice that when I am making a point of doing both everyday I am less annoyed and aggressive about just anything else. I handle life so much better when I am taking time in other worlds, especially worlds of my own creation, and with characters I love. I makes a much more pleasant person who doesn't really hate their job and adore doing things with friends. 5. I hang out with friends, family, and have awesome conversations with like minded people. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely the type of person that needs a significant amount time alone. My bedroom is my sacred space and I love being in it. However, my support team is just as important. They help me to go experience life and see things in way I have would have before. They inspire me and give me encouragement to keep being me. To keep living. They reassure me that my dreams are possible and worth chasing no matter how much work I have to put in to get there. The are there when I need them most with the perfect advice and love. The fact that they are in my life at this moment isn't coincidence. It is fate. It is magic! I won't lie to you and say that I am perfect at seeing the magic in everyday. I am not perfect at living in a joy state. I suffer from depression and anxiety and sometimes they do get the better of me. I think that it is important to remember that life is journey. There will be ups and downs and sometime it won't feel great. At times you will feel completely uninspired and disconnected and that is ok. It is important to meet yourself where you are. There is magic in the darkness too. Let me know in the comments below how you find magic and joy in your life?
